Grounded & Grateful Vinyasa Flow

with Amanda Bock

The Meadow | 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Join Amanda on Saturday morning for an empowering yet gentle, strengthening yet supportive, all-levels Vinyasa class on the beautiful open meadow! Starting and ending slowly, enjoy a combination of opening stretches and grounding standing postures that allow you to slow down, appreciate the ground beneath you, and tune into your mind-body connection. Experience focused breathing, restorative stretching, supported balancing, as well as strengthening and mobility for the whole body. Themes include meeting your body where it is, leaving expectations behind, and coming back to gratitude for all of the amazing things your body can do. Lots of props, modifications, extra child’s poses (or even an hour-long savasana!) are all very much accepted and highly encouraged - this is your time and body, absolutely no body else’s!

Meet Amanda Bock

Amanda grew up in Sonoma County, went to college for Graphic Design in Southern California, and lived in Las Vegas for a little over a decade before moving to the beautiful PNW with her family in 2022. She started practicing Yoga while working a corporate design job and was instantly drawn to the peacefulness found during class: the conscious breathwork, the intentional movements, and the gentle, guided cues were all like a much-needed warm hug for her body and brain. She began to learn and experience the benefits of a consistent Yoga practice: less tense and achy muscles, better sleep, and truly less anxiety for one of the first times in her life. Contemplating how and where she wanted to spend her time, Amanda decided she wanted to help people find the same strength, peace, and relaxation that she had found through Yoga and dove into an alignment-based 200HR YTT in 2014. Later that year she left the corporate world and entered a new one that valued mental and physical health, self-care and personal growth, and gratitude for what a body can do.

Amanda now lives in Hockinson on a few forested acres with her husband, their 2 young boys, 2 older dogs, and somehow 17 chickens. She is a mom, artist, paddle-boarder and amateur farmer, and has been creating empowering and accessible Vinyasa classes since 2014. You can find her at YogaSix West Vancouver where she has the honor of being Lead Teacher and leading a variety of heated strength-building and restorative classes to the incredible community here in Vancouver. Grateful to work in an industry that values physical and mental wellness as well as community connection, Amanda wakes up excited to give back to others by leading them to find their own strength, gratitude, and confidence. This is her 3rd Float & Flow Festival, and she can’t wait to meet you on the mat!
