This dynamic 75-minute class blends the mindful movement of yoga with the core-strengthening precision of Pilates to support and sustain a healthy spine. Beginning with diaphragmatic breathing and gentle elongation, you’ll tune into your body’s alignment and the natural curves of the spine.

The practice flows through yoga postures that build flexibility and awareness, then integrates Pilates-based core work to activate deep abdominal muscles and improve spinal stability. Expect a thoughtful mix of mat work and standing sequences, enhanced by props like blocks and straps to support safe exploration and deeper release.

We’ll close with a 15-minute self-massage and guided relaxation to melt away tension and restore balance—leaving you grounded, strong, and centered.
This class is accessible for all levels and offers a holistic approach to spinal health through strength, flexibility, and mindful movement.

Meet Christina Ritchmond

Christina Ritchmond is the owner of Scoliosis Wellness and a licensed massage therapist with over 14 years of experience. A certified yoga teacher and Scolio-Pilates practitioner, Christina specializes in supporting individuals with scoliosis, spinal fusions, hypermobility, and other spinal conditions—drawing from her own journey with spinal fusion to bring deep empathy and insight to her work.

With a passion for spine health and mindful movement, Christina blends yoga, Pilates, and therapeutic techniques to help students find strength, stability, and relief. Her approach is inclusive, empowering, and rooted in the belief that all you need to begin is a spine.
