ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

Little legs, big adventure.

Getting outside with little ones doesn’t have to mean going far, moving fast, or making it to some epic destination.

Join Tadasana Adventures + Little Bear Explorers for a free morning outside designed especially for little adventurers ages 0–6 and the grown-ups who explore alongside them.

We’ll head out together for an easy hike through Lacamas Regional Park, moving at the pace of our littlest hikers. There’s no rush and no mileage to conquer. We’ll walk, ride in carriers, stop to investigate interesting things, take breaks when we need them, and see where little legs take us.

Back at the trailhead, Cassie of Little Bear Explorers will lead us in nature-based play and a special activity created for curious little humans. We’ll have some simple snacks for kiddos and drinks for grown-ups, with plenty of time to connect before families head home—or stick around and keep playing at the playground.

Parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and other trusted caregivers are all welcome. Kids can hike, ride in a front or backpack carrier, or do a little of both.

This family adventure is free to attend and open to everyone. Registration is required and space is limited.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • We want you to have the information you need to choose your own adventure. This one is designed especially for little legs, with plenty of flexibility built in.

    Distance: Up to approximately 1.25 miles round trip. We may turn around sooner depending on how our little adventurers are doing.

    Elevation: Minimal

    Terrain: Mostly unpaved park trails. Not stroller-friendly.

    Pace: Little-adventurer-led! Expect a slow, easy pace with plenty of time to stop, notice, explore, and take breaks. No rush, no hurry.

    Time moving: Approximately 45–60 minutes, including plenty of stops along the way.

    Experience needed: None! Kids can walk, ride in a front or backpack carrier, or do a combination of both. This adventure is designed for children ages 0–6 and their grown-ups.

  • Please bring:

    • Comfortable layers + weather-appropriate rain gear

    • Comfortable shoes that can handle dirt, mud, and trail conditions

    • Front or backpack carrier if your little adventurer won’t walk the entire route — no strollers

    • Water + any snacks your family may need along the way

    • Diapers, wipes + other kid essentials

    • A change of clothes for little adventurers, just in case

    We’ve got you covered with:

    • Drinks for grown-ups + simple kid-friendly snacks after the hike

    • Supplies for our nature-based play + activity with Little Bear Explorers

    • Plenty of time to wander, explore + move at the pace of little legs

  • Yes! This experience is open to everyone. Club members receive priority registration.

  • Family-Friendly

    Absolutely! This experience is family-friendly and best suited for ages 0-6. Children must attend with a participating parent or guardian.

  • We love your adventure buddies, but Tadasana Adventures events are pet-free unless specifically noted otherwise. We know your dog is great on the trail, but not everyone is comfortable around animals, some participants have allergies, and pets can change the dynamic of a group experience. Please leave them safely at home and help us create a welcoming, comfortable experience for everyone.

    Trained service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable law. Emotional support animals and pets are not considered service animals. If you'll be participating with a service animal, we encourage you to contact us before the event so we can help you plan for any event-specific terrain, water, equipment, or safety considerations.

  • We're on rain or shine! Come dressed for the forecast and ready to adventure in whatever the PNW sends our way.

    We will only cancel if conditions become unsafe due to severe weather, lightning, wildfire, hazardous smoke or other conditions beyond our control. We'll make the call at least 12 hours before the event whenever possible and notify registered participants by email.

  • 24-Hour Cancellation Policy

    Plans change! This event is free to attend, but space is limited. Cancel at least 24 hours before the event and there’s no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows will be charged a $15 late cancellation fee.
